Almost 3 feet of Snow

This is for you Tamra. We are supposed to have snow turning to rain starting tonight, but the good news is that we are finally having temperatures above freezing. Hooray!

Christmas in Washington

We got all ready for Christmas, and thank heavens we did it before the snow started to fall. We have had about 3 feet of snow in the last 2 weeks, and it is supposed to just keep on coming. We stayed home all day, with our new jammies on. We had a great turkey dinner, and I even got to take a nap. We wish that we could have been with you all during the holidays, but maybe we will come next year for Christmas instead of Thanksgiving. However we will probably have to fly.

Happy Haunting

Happy Halloween All!
The kids had Harvest parties in their classes at school. They are not allowed to celebrate any holidays here in Washington. Which meant no Halloween parades. In between school and going out Haunting, Megan became a new Scentsy Director, and then the fun started. We got all dressed up, and went to the ward Halloween extravaganza. Riley was Batman, Brady was a Pirate, and Tava was the cutest little cow.
At the ward Halloween party there was a pie eating contest, homemade ice cream, and trunk or treating.
A fun time was had by all.

Twas the Day Before Halloween

I let the kids stay home from school. We went out to breakfast, and then came home to carve our pumpkins. We didn't make it very far, but as of right now they are just hollowed out. Yes we are lazy bumms, but we had a lot of fun getting that far.

Brady's 1st Day of School

Brady has finally started school. He is so grown up and loving his Kindergarten class. His teacher is Mrs. Bender and he has a new friend Ralph. It took the school a whole month to decide that he was going to be in Kindergarten instead of Pre-School this year. He will still get his speach therapy, and one day we hope to be able to understand everything he says.

River Front Park

While Grandma and Grandpa Mick were in town we took them to River Front Park. We had lots of fun. The park features a Red Rider wagon that is humongous. You go up the stairs of the wagon, and then slide down. Even Grandpa went down the slide. We also rode on the Carousel, and we fed the ducks, until we saw the sign that said,"Please do not feed the ducks!"
We hope that you will all come to Spokane and take a tour of the park with us.

Riley's Baptism

Riley was baptised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on September 27, 2008. It was a very special day. Grandma and Grandpa Mick came to Washington to share in this occasion with our family. Riley said that when he came out of the water he was shaking with fear, and the look on his face confirmed that. Grandma Mick gave a wonderful talk on the Holy Ghost. We are so proud of Riley.

Yummy Apple Dip Recipe

Here is a very tasty recipe for apple dip.

1 block cream cheese
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix and serve

Tava

Tava is getting so big. She has started to use the big girl potty, although most of the time she just sits there, and she now has a darling toddler bed. She has started saying her own name. She also says, "Stop Dude!" and I hear a lot of, "No No Brady!" We love her to pieces.

Brady the Gardener

Brady planted a sunflower seed in a paper cup in his preschool class before we moved to Washington. We transplanted it, and have been faithfully watering it each day. Look at it now.
